Southern Cooking: Wilmington’s Favorite Iconic North Carolina Foods

Oyster Roast
This one’s pretty simple. Get a great big fire pit going, or fire up the grill. Add some friends, a good local microbrew, plastic tablecloths, lots of paper towel, oyster knives and some gloves. Set out a bunch of bottles of hot sauce. Put those gorgeous North Carolina oysters on to steam. Eat. Repeat.
