Food Trucks Round Up: the food to find in Wilmington NC

With menu offerings usually in the range of $7 to 13 and a huge hip-factor, you will find Wilmington NC food trucks high on Port City Foodie’s list of dining options. And lunch options. Even some late night options. These rolling restaurants have truncated, but thoughtfully composed, menus. What these on-the-go chefs serve, they do well. Food trucks offer a quick meal that works with your happy hour brew or late night glass of wine, and equally well for a quick work-day lunch break.

You’ve definitely got to be on Facebook or Twitter to get the latest scoop on which food truck is where at any given time, and what they’re serving. When you step up to the window, you will most probably be ordering off the whiteboard, and menu items sometimes sellout, so keep your spirit of adventure and foodie-flexibility in place.

In the world of the food truck, everything’s always moving.

Here, in alpha-order, is a list of some of the hottest food trucks pulling up to your favorite spot:

Great food with a Latin American flair. Go ahead, try and choose between Pimento Chicken on a toasted tortilla or El Cubano made with roast pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese and, of course, dill pickle. Yes, catch this one. You’ll want more, we promise. These food truck chefs have the gig done to a science, with their offerings have a distinctly seafood bent that is faithful to the spirit of Catch, the restaurant. There’s a nice variety of portion sizes, here, as you can often choose one or two sliders or other item, opt for an entrée like South Beach conch salad, or splurge on Maine lobster, when it’s available.
