Favorite Al Fresco Dining Spots in the Port City
Spring is almost – yes, almost – sprung. That means it’s almost the perfect time of year to enjoy a meal outdoors. We have a handful of favorite spots for al fresco dining Port City style: restaurants that gracefully combine a high quality, delicious meal with a beautiful outdoor environment.
There are a plethora of outdoor dining spots along Historic Wilmington’s Riverwalk, catering to both the tourist trade and to locals. It’s always nice to sit along the Cape Fear. People watching is top notch, and the sunsets are often glorious. Our favorite al fresco dining spot on the Riverwalk is Le Catalan, for really wonderful French food and a spectacular selection of wines by the glass or bottle. Try the Curry Chicken Salad, or the charcuterie selection. Specials are always winning. Don’t miss the most amazing little cup of chocolate mousse you’ve ever had.
